Open the container and experience the sight and scent of these gorgeous lichen "cups" that truly look like they sprung from the pages of an old book of fairy tales!

We love searching out these little guys. Harvested in small batches, it takes a keen eye to spot these in the wild. They look a bit like small greenish-blue (or grey, and sometimes pink!) goblets with some "fairy dust" sprinkled into the cup. At around. 1/4" to 1" tall, they are found in the hidden corners of the forest. At the base of an old fallen tree, under the leaves on the slope of a rocky hill, sprouting from a tuft of moss, (often in the presence of Reindeer moss lichen) and finding them always feels like finding buried treasure.
A fairy garden simply isn't complete without them- it's right in the name :)

Lichen have been around for more than 400 million years and are truly fascinating. Simultaneously an algae AND a fungi, they are uniquely adapted to surviving harsh conditions.

You will receive sections of Pretty Pixie Cup lichen attached to the substrate on which they were found. This could be soil, bark, twigs, moss or even stone. They arrive in a 2oz souffle cup with snap on lid and will add a pop of color and intrigue to your terrarium project.

They don't need watering very frequently, but when you do water them, they perk right up the color really pops!
