You will receive a 3"x4" ziplock bag bursting with color. Sections may include Pixie Cups, British Soldier, Reindeer lichen, assorted Cladonia or others. Guaranteed to be beautiful and one of a kind.
We love hunting for these little guys. Harvested in small batches, it takes a keen eye to spot these in the wild. Typically found in the hidden corners of the forest, hunting for lichen is like treasure hunting. They might be hidden at the base of an old fallen tree, under the leaves on the slope of a rocky hill or sprouting from a tuft of moss. Finding them always feels like finding buried treasure.

Lichen have been around for more than 400 million years and are truly fascinating. Simultaneously an algae AND a fungi, they are uniquely adapted to surviving harsh conditions.

The lichen you receive will be smaller pieces attached to the substrate on which they were found. This could be soil, bark, twigs, moss or even stone. They arrive in a 3"x4" ziplock and bring an awesome splash of color to any terrarium.
Lichen may arrive somewhat dry, as this prevents browning or molding during transit. Mist with (non-chlorinated) water to freshen the lichen.

They don't need watering very frequently, but when you do water them, the color really pops!
